For the owners, moving here fourteen years ago was a simple choice to make. Work had brought them to the area and Tenterden stood out as a town to settle in. Six months of renting locally gave them an insight into the area, where was nice, convenient and somewhere they would want to stay.
When this home came available it ticked so many boxes they had to view it. The top floor was an instant winner, with a teenage daughter it provided an amazing freedom for her to have a bedroom and fun space to combine studying and having friends around.
The house had already been extended and our clients saw that with a little further improvement it would make a super home for them, one they have stayed in longer than anywhere else they have been.
This is a home that has a kerb appeal instantly, grab a glimpse of it through the gate as you pass and it has that timeless appeal. Neo Georgian, the look is charming and framed by the lovely plants of the front garden it has a quaint cottagey appeal surprising for a home of this size.
Step through the front door and you will be trying to determine which is your favourite feature. A walk into the superb and very picturesque High Street puts a brilliant selection of shops at your disposal along with restaurants, pubs and cafes. Waitrose and Tescos locally provide general shopping needs but explore the delightful boutiques of the town for an experience that is truly Tenterden. Venture further afield to discover the Kent and East Sussex Railway, steam trains to excite young and old, or visit Smallhythe Place, once the home of Victorian Actress Ellen Terry and now belonging to the National Trust.
