Charming, full of character in the midst of an area of outstanding natural beauty, this is a home that has a very unique appeal.
We always enjoy a good discovery tale, especially when it involves love at first sight.
A long cycle ride exploring the countryside within the Wye Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty brought this couple to Throwley Forstal, a lovely rural hamlet. They paused to admire the green, itself part of a delightful conservation area and a pretty cottage with white picket fence in front caught their eye and imagination. A chance meeting with this home and it just so happened it was on the market! As they say, the rest is history and super times have been enjoyed here since.
Driving through country lanes to visit it, passing field after field, you feel the pressure of modern life slipping away. The house is semi-detached, you're forgiven for not realising, even when you're there it somehow doesn't feel as if you are and in good period tradition the homes around add to the charm of living in this wonderful rural community.
There are interesting nooks and crannies, storage spaces that are so useful, the third bedroom is currently utilised as a dressing room and could easily become an office at home or be a bedroom again.
We really enjoy wandering through, there is so much to admire, a delightful bathroom, the living room stretching away to the fireplace, the...
