Ten Years On: A Journey Through Change, Resilience, and Renewal
It’s so hard to believe that on 21 May 2015 at 13:54 I sent an email with the subject line:
“We’re in Kent Life – It all feels real now! :-)”
The magazine had just appeared through my letterbox and, as I flicked through the pages and saw Graham John’s very first advert there in print, my brain screamed – “The website isn’t live yet!”
Seven months of planning, writing, designing, crafting, testing – of working to get everything on point, as I wanted it – it all became very real and so exciting.
Ten years on and that excitement, that joy, is still there within me, undimmed.
Over the years, we’ve advertised in a variety of wonderful magazines and had the privilege of seeing the homes we represent featured in national press – a testament to the unique character of the properties we work with and the stories they carry. Every article, every feature, every photograph has reflected our passion for showcasing homes with heart.
But while we’ve been celebrating beautiful homes, the world around us has been shifting—sometimes gradually, sometimes dramatically.
From the political and economic ripples of the Brexit vote in 2016, to the shockwaves of a global pandemic, through energy crises, rising interest rates, and the reshaping of how and where we all work – the last decade has been anything but still.
For the property world—and for a business like ours—these weren’t distant events.
Clients looked for guidance through uncertainty.
Markets paused, surged, adjusted, and surged again.
People reconsidered what “home” really means.
Community, lifestyle, and location took on new meaning.
We didn’t respond with grand strategies or jargon. We did what we’ve always done—listened, stayed close to our clients, paid attention to what matters, and cared deeply about getting it right. That’s what’s carried us through and helped us grow.
What began as a dream—to build something honest, distinctive, and human—has become a business that we’re proud of every single day. A business that still feels exciting.
Looking ahead, we’re more committed than ever to doing things with heart, with integrity, and with a deep understanding that homes are where life happens.
To everyone who’s supported us, collaborated with us, and shared in the journey—thank you. Here’s to the next ten years of making life special, together.
