Draw the kids a bubble bath!
I’m not going to go anywhere near telling you how to draw a bubble bath for your kids. You know how to do it.
What I am going to say is, when preparing for Christmas can pile more pressure on everyone’s lives, don’t just do this for the kids, do this for you!
If your kids are of an age to enjoy a bubble bath, for it to be special to them, then you are in the midst of a short and wonderful period of their life, one they will grow out of all too soon.
Stop everything!
Stop worrying, stop the clock, turn off your phone, the cooker, the TV, ignore distractions and, on the night before Christmas, put on some music and have pure unadulterated silly fun with your kids!
Splash water around, flick bubbles, make silly faces, forget everything but the moment and revel in it!
Make Life Special!
For those who don’t have young children:
Follow the above instructions minus children! If a bubble bath really isn’t your thing, candle light, classical music and a glass of wine whilst soaking in a tub? (do be careful, drink responsibly), if that really isn’t the ticket for you then still disconnect and do something unexpected, however simple it may be, do something nice that you hadn’t planned to do!
Do let us know how you get on, share with us on social media (you’ll find links on the right hand side of this page or at the bottom on mobile). We’d love to hear from you, to see some pictures and by all means share ideas for next year. We already have a growing list we couldn’t fit into this challenge.
